Methodist University students are fortunate to have a top notch
fitness facility at their disposal. SMU's Dedman Centers hosts
state-of-the-art fitness equipment to provide students every
advantage for reaching their fitness and weight loss goals. From
the massive rock climbing wall to row after row of cardio machines;
including stairmasters, treadmills, elliptical trainers and stationary
bikes - this facility has it all. Plus they have a staff of certified
personal trainers to help students achieve their goals.
All SMU personal training packages include a complimentary
"fitness test," which tests each of the five components
of fitness: cardio respiratory endurance, muscular endurance,
muscular strength, body composition, and flexibility. 
By testing each of these components of your personal fitness,
the personal trainers at SMU will be able to tell you exactly
what kind of shape you are currently in and what you need to do
to reach your goals. Then they'll create a custom workout program
for you to help you utilize all that the Dedman Center has to
offer, and they'll teach you proper form and techniques to help
insure your safety as they motivate you to succeed.
